Thoughts

It’s Three Years Now Three years ago, I lost my father, Who had a heart of gold, How much I really miss you, You never can be told. You shared in all my troubles, And helped me get along, If I follow in your footsteps, I never can go wrong. You will always be my father, So true and very rare, Content in your greenhouse or garage, But you were always there. On earth you were a worker, In heaven, you are at rest, God bless you dad, three years on, You surely were the best.

Just wanted, dad, to add my thought for your 84th birthday on Sunday 16th October 2011. It's not what we write, or even what we say, It's how we feel inside, as we remember you today, To loose you left us deverstated, but when we feel the pain, We only have to close our eyes, and your with us once again. If we could have one wish today, if that was all we had, It would be simply to have you here and say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAR DAD. Love you always Ian x

Two Years Have Passed. Dad …… So many images come to mind Whenever I speak your name, It seems without you in my life Things have never been the same. What happened to those lazy days When I was just a child, When my life was consumed in you In your love and in your smile. What happened to all those times When I always looked to you, No matter what happened in my life You could make my grey skies blue. Dad, some days I hear your voice And turn to see your face, Yet in my turning …. It just seems The sound has been erased. Dad, who will I turn to for answers When life just isn’t right, Who will be there to hold me close And keep up this brave fight. Oh Dad, if I could turn back time And once more hear your voice, I’d tell you that out of all the dad’s You would still be my choice. Please always know I love you And no one can take your place, Years may come and go But I can still see that smiling face. Today, Jesus as you are listening In your home above, Will you go and find my Dad And give him all my love. Your loving son, Ian x
